Greenland

With Easter around the corner and the weather still trying to reach 70 degrees, this week's baby animal is the Artic Hare.

Unfortunately for these animals, they do not hibernate. However, their thick fur and shortened ears allow them to adapt to the harsh weather. They sometimes dig shelters in the snow and huddle together to share warmth.

Artic hare groups disperse during mating season and pair off to define their mating territories (males may take more than one female partner). Every year female hares give birth to one litter during the spring or early summer. There are usually 2 to 8 babies that grow to resemble their parents by September. After a year, they are ready to breed themselves.

I'm sure everyone is jumping for joy about Easter!
